A number of campaigns and projects are initiated each year by the AIDS Action Council in an effort to eliminate the spread of the virus, and to increase the quality of life for people infected and affected by the HIV virus.
In the development of these campaigns, the AIDS Action Council is guided by a number of considerations for HIV/AIDS related campaigns.
- Up Ya Bum - A fun campaign aimed at gay men and men who have sex with men
- Cover Yourself in Canberra - A fun and local-flavoured campaign to re-introduce the condom image.
- Smart Players Use Protection - A sports-based safe sex campaign.
- Take Credit for Safe Sex - Safe sex campaign using credit-card style condom packs.
- Condom Miranda - A fun general community campaigns.
- Cinema advertisement [Windows Media 2.8MB] Shown in cinemas in 2006.
- Gaydar.com.au advertising
National campaigns
The AIDS Action Council participates in a number of national campaigns:

- Think again. A campaign about HIV disclosure.
- At least once a year... make a date for a HIV test
- If he doesn't reach for a condom, will you?
