Looking out

Meet people, connect with the community, and enjoy a safe space to talk about being gay or bisexual, sex, relationships and the community.

Looking Out provides a safe and supportive environment to share your own experiences and learn from the experiences of others.

Looking Out book now!

The next free course starts Thursday evening 23 April 2009 and runs for 4 evenings.

Bookings are essential.

Are you a gay or bisexual man, and would like to talk about:

Does it sometimes seem that it is impossible to break into the Canberra community and meet guys like you?

What happens during the workshop?

It is basically a discussion group. The workshop is structured to encourage guys to share their opinions and experiences. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment at all times.

Of course, you’re welcome to pass during any activity if you’re not comfortable.

How long does it run for?

We use different formats throughout the year. It usually runs for two days during a weekend, or four evenings over several weeks.

Who comes along to these workshops?

A wide range of guys come along. Some guys have been out and involved in the community for years, and others haven’t come out yet. Some have recently moved to Canberra from interstate or overseas. Some are married. Guys have been aged from 25 to 70 years old.

This diversity is one of the things that makes the discussion during the workshop interesting.

What about guys aged under 25?

The workshop is open to men over the age of 25. Men who are under 25 are invited to join our Out There course.
