Community education and health promotion
Providing information and education about all aspects of HIV/AIDS and sexual health is an important part of the AIDS Action Council's work. We also provide education on issues relevant to gay and bisexual men. Education occurs through outreach projects, as well as workshops, training sessions and speaking engagements.
Many people phone or drop in to get information on the transmission and prevention of HIV, the HIV antibody test and other issues. We also focus specifically on education for people living with HIV/AIDS. Education Services are available to individuals and organisations.
Please contact the Community Education and Health Promotion Unit (contact us) if you would like more information.
