The AIDS Action Council runs several workshops each year for specific groups of people, as part of its Community Development Program. Groups are run for both younger and older gay and bisexual men and lesbian and bisexual women. All workshops are free and confidential.
The AIDS Action Council provides a professional counselor who can provide support on a one-to-one basis. This free service is available for people living with HIV/AIDS and for people coming to terms with their sexuality or transgender status. The service is also available for partners, families or friends.
A number of support and social groups for same-sex attracted young people operate in Canberra.

Currently Canberra's only gay and lesbian nightclub, it opened in 2002. It is located beneath Antigo's restaurant, between the merry-go-round and London Circuit on City Walk.

Used to have regular live music and special events, with most queer artists preferring this venue in Canberra, but these are now less frequent. Open 8am till late everyday.

ACTQueer is a confidential and free email list for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region.
