Promote awareness
You can download the flyer (MS Word 28kb) about this web site - copy it, distribute it, or copy and paste the text into newsletters, emails or mail outs.
Is there more problem legislation?
You could check through the list of ACT legislation that has been flagged for consideration in the review.
The motion passed by the ACT Legislative Assembly initiating the review notes that legislation can discriminate in language or effect, including directly, indirectly or by omission.
-
Is there more problem legislation than that which is already listed for review?
-
Is there legislation that doesn't discriminate now, but should be changed e.g. to make it clearer or for public education purposes?
If you find that something is missing, you could let the key Assembly members know and/or let us know.
What else needs to be done?
Most of this web site is about reform of ACT legislation that currently discriminates against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. But, in the section More ACT Issues, some other things that might need to be done are listed.
-
Is the list in the section More ACT Issues complete?
-
Assuming that it isn't complete, what else needs to be done and who needs to do it?
If you see more things that need to be done, you could let the Key Assembly Members know, contact the body or group that you think needs to do something, or let us know.
