Sometimes workers are confused about providing oral sex to a client without a condom. They might wonder if it is safe, or if it is legal to provide this service in the ACT. This short guide explains the situation in the ACT.

You should always use a condom when providing oral sex to a client. There are good reasons for this:

Clients and shop owners will some times try to offer you more money to provide oral sex without a condom. It’s not worth it. It is your right to say no I don’t want to provide this as a service. Contact SWOP if you need assistance saying ‘no’ to a client or shop.

Unprotected oral sex is not safe and is not part of our job.

A client or parlor that tries to talk you into providing unprotected oral sex is breaking the law.

Some condoms are flavored and this makes them taste better when you are doing oral sex. Some condoms are thinner and will give the client the feeling that there is no condom. The best thing to do is try all a few different styles and find what is best for you.
