Getting a sexual health check up - Sex Worker Outreach Project (SWOP) ACT
SEXUAL HEALTH CHECK UP posterFor workers in the sex industry.
  1. Call the Canberra Sexual Health Centre on 6244 2184, or contact SWOP about the next SWOP SHOP clinics.
  2. Free, friendly, confidential. No Medicare card or id required!
  3. We need to ask some questions about your sex practices.
  4. Sexual health testing is a good idea:
    • Regular testing (every 3 months).
    • Extra testing (if condom breaks or slips).
    • A physical examination is not always necessary.
  5. Blood test for:
  6. Tests for chlamydia and gonorrhoea
    • urine sample or self-obtained vaginal swab
    • throat swab
  7. Anything else?
    • Ask questions
    • Get information
    • Pick up safer sex supplies
    • Get your certificate of attendance.
  8. Come back in a few days for results.
